Hello and Welcome to Arizona Cinderella!

The Arizona pageant year starts the first of September and concludes with our fabulous International Finals, held at the end of July. We stage between 10 and 15 preliminary local pageants throughout Arizona. From the local level, a participant advances to the Arizona State Cinderella Finals, June 14-22, 2024 at the beautiful Doubletree Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. Cinderella is the largest and most prestigious system of it's kind in the world. High ethical standards and objectives have made Arizona Cinderella more than just a competition or event. A strong belief in moral values and a strict code of ethics has won wide acclaim for the system as a worthwhile youth development program building self esteem and self worth in those who participate.

Cinderella is a youth development, family oriented activity that offers achievement and scholarship opportunities and training to young ladies.

Cinderella is exciting, and a fun filled inspirational experience, especially when the participants and parents follow the rules of good sportsmanship and fair play. With the right attitude and goals, the Cinderella Scholarship Program can play an important role in the development of clean wholesome ideals and principles that will last a lifetime. Cinderella is divided into five age divisions: Cinderella Tot (ages 3-6); Cinderella Miniature Miss (ages 7-9); Cinderella Miss (ages 10- 12); Cinderella Teen (ages 13-17); and Cinderella Woman (ages 18-29). We look forward to meeting you at one of our many preliminary pageants!

Nurss Family Profile

The Nurss Family joined the Cinderella family in 1988, through the encouragement of a very dear friend, DeeDee Hoeft in Sierra Vista, Arizona. It was Erin who competed at the age of 3 in the local Cochise County Cinderella Scholarship program. With her tot personality title, we made our way to our first Arizona Cinderella State Finals in Laughlin, NV in the summer of 1988. There began the magic of Cinderella and "a way of life" for the next 35 years. At the sweet age of 3, Adrienne also hopped on the Cinderella coach, and began her Cinderella career as well. It has been a terrific journey of friendship, memories, and magic... All wrapped up in one single slipper. We have enjoyed producing and assisting with the Cochise County Cinderella program for over 20 years and have managed to return year after year to continue sharing in the magic of AZ Cinderella. We know that those involved in the Cinderella Scholarship Program as Local Directors, Contestants, Returning State Staff, Dance Teachers, Voice Coaches, and most importantly, Family and Friends have made a difference in the lives of today's youth. In living the Cinderella Magic for over 30 years, we welcome you to the 42nd year of Arizona Cinderella.

Outside of Cinderella, Mike and Terry have been married for over 43 years. Terry had a long career with Wells Fargo, working in both banking and mortgage. She recently retired from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage after 40 years. Mike, retired after 35 years with Pepsi Cola and another 10 in local sales. He also enjoys golfing, watching football, and supporting his 3 girls, Terry, Erin and Adrienne, in all that they do.

As Miss Arizona 2008 she competed at the 2009 Miss America pageant and was a Non-Finalist Talent Winner. She and her husband, Adam currently reside in Chandler, Arizona with their daughters Landry and Logan.
